Recap of the 47th Annual Greater American Coin Fair

The St. Louis Numismatic Association just completed its 47th Greater America Coin Fair at the Airport Hilton in St. Louis on February 18th, 19th, and 20th. Gorgeous weather and skyrocketing silver and gold prices helped this year's event become one of the most successful ever. A record number of Early Bird dealers added to the more than 1250 visitors that toured the sold out 118 dealer bourse floor over the three days.

Dealers from all over the country were present offering a wide selection of raw and certified coins and currency for your inspection or purchase. Books, supplies, tokens and other numismatic items were also offered for sale. There was something for everyone from the novice collector to the most advanced collector.

Congratulations to our three lucky door prize winners. Vicki P. of Arnold, MO, Frank C. of Belleville, IL, and Jim D. of St. Peters, MO each received a 2011 Silver Eagle.

The planning of next year's event is already in the making and dates and times will be posted here as soon as they become available.
